Heavy rain fell on the Nabeglavi village of the Chokhatauri district (Guria region, Western Georgia). The Gubazeuli River overflowed the banks and completely flooded the gorge.
Hydroelectric power stations under construction also flooded and vehicles and tractors were found to be under water, according to local media. Landslide occurred in several places on the central highway.
Emergency situation occurred also in Adjara, in Chakvi settlement. As a result of the heavy rains the Chakvistskali River overflowed and flooded the yards of houses.
