Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili's visit to Belgium has been canceled. The president was to attend a ceremony dedicated to the memory of the World War I heroes. The reason is a meeting of the Security Council scheduled for October 28, the presidential administration said Oct. 24.
"Despite Defense Minister Irakli Alasania's appeal on the meeting postponement, it will take place in a previously scheduled term," National Security Council Secretary Irina Imarlishvili said.
Earlier, Alasania said that he and three of his four permanent members-ministers will be abroad. So, they will fail to attend a meeting of the Council.
