By Nana Kirtzkhalia - Trend:

All deputies of Georgian foreign minister, except the first deputy David Zalkaliani will keep their posts, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili said during a working meeting with government members on Nov.6.

"They confirmed this decision today in the morning and we are glad that they have made such a decision," he said.

Garibashvili added that this is a victory of 'statesmanship'.

"Naturally, the resignation of all of them would be a disgrace to us. But statesmanship prevailed and we are pleased with this," Garibashvili said. "All the more so, several foreign trips and visits of diplomats have been scheduled."

Georgian Foreign Minister and her deputies - David Zalkaliani, Tamar Beruchashvili and David Jalagania - submitted resignation letters on Nov.5.

Following the meeting of the political council of the Georgian Dream bloc on Nov.4, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili announced the dismissal of Defense Minister Irakli Alasania. Alasania's friend and colleague, the State Minister of Georgia for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Alexi Petriashvili resigned as well.
