Soon the parliament of the Netherlands will ratify Georgia's association agreement with the EU, the Georgian parliament head, Davit Usupashvili said Nov. 18.
He made the remarks after a meeting with the Chairperson of the Dutch House of Representatives Anouchka van Miltenburg.
For the document to fully enter into force, it needs to be ratified by the parliaments of countries that signed it, as well as the European Parliament and the parliaments of the EU member states.
"The Netherlands is a country that supports us in Europe. This country has done a lot for the democratic development of Georgia, and now its support towards the European association is very important," Usupashvili added.
The meeting between Usupashvili and Miltenburg also touched upon the Georgian-Russian relations and the situation in the region.
