The representatives of the rescue service of the Georgian Interior Ministry transported two Latvian tourists, blocked on the Cross Pass, to a safe place.
The rescue operation lasted several hours and ended successfully last night, the Georgian Interior Ministry told Trend.
The rescue operation began after 112 service received a call. Two tourists could not get out of the Cross Pass. Heavy snowfall has been observed in the mountains of Georgia for few days. The traffic movement is limited on some roads because of the blizzard and snow.
