The Georgian government will cooperate with USAID as part of a project entitled "Democratic Governance Initiative". The project budget is $9 million. Its goal is to strengthen transparency, accountability and good governance in Georgia.
The cooperation on improving public administration will enhance the quality of public services rendered to the population.
The project was discussed at a meeting of USAID representatives and the management of the government's administration Feb. 4.
The US supports Georgia's desire to strengthen democratic governance and accountability that promotes the country's effective activity.
