Georgia's Foreign Minister Tamar Beruchashvili said August 25 that she learned about her possible resignation from media outlets, according to RIA Novosti.
Earlier, a number of Georgian media made reports about possible changes in the country's government, in particular, about Beruchashvili's possible resignation.
Georgian television channels reported that the foreign minister's post may be taken by the country's deputy prime minister and economy minister, Giorgi Kvirikashvili.
"As everyone else, I got this information from the press," said Beruchashvili. "Consequently, I can tell you nothing more."
Reportedly, Giorgi Kvirikashvili answering a question by a journalist about his possible appointment answered, "I will refrain from commenting."
