The cooperation between Azerbaijan and Georgia turned out to be important for the overall regional development, Eka Tkeshelashvili, Georgia's ex-foreign and justice minister, told reporters March 11 in Baku.
So that is very important for us to develop this cooperation, she said.
"The partnership that developed between us is important for Central Asia, as well as to have the gateways to Europe through our countries," noted Tkeshelashvili.
The trade turnover between the two countries amounted to $24.76 million in Jan. 2016, which is 1.8 times less than the same period of 2015, according to Azerbaijan's State Customs Committee.
