SOCAR suspends gas supply to Georgia’s Adjara
Baku, Azerbaijan, March 29
By Maksim Tsurkov - Trend:
SOCAR Georgia Gas, a subsidiary of Azerbaijan's state oil company SOCAR in Georgia, suspended gas supply to Georgia's Adjara Autonomous Republic starting from March 29.
The company has said the gas supply will be suspended until April 3 due to the repairs at the Kobuleti-Batumi main road.
"SOCAR Georgia Gas apologizes for any inconvenience and calls on people to close gas valves in apartments," said the company.
SOCAR supplies Georgia with gas via a pipeline running through the Azerbaijani district of Gazakh. The pipeline can deliver about 3 billion cubic meters of gas a year.
