Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia will take part in the World Economic Forum which will be held in Davos, Switzerland, on January 21-24, 2020, Trend reports with reference to the press service of the government administration.

As reported, Georgian Finance Minister Ivane Matchavariani, the PM’s Advisor for strategic communications Irakli Chikovani and the Prime Minister’s Advisor for economics Beka Liluashvili are also participating in the forum.

During his visit to Switzerland, Gakharia will participate in a panel discussion "New Ambitions for Europe". In addition, the prime minister will take part in the official event, Uniting Europe, held for European leaders.

Gakharia will also attend the presentation “Cool Kids on Blockchain”, where Georgian start-up Vault Wines will be presented as the winner of a venture capital contest held by the Swiss Venture Capital Fund.

Gakharia will meet with officials of international finance institutions and heads of the world’s largest companies, including Philips Lighting, Siemens Energy, Camille Bloch, Coca-Cola and Oneweb, the press service said.

The World Economic Forum, which will be held in Davos from January 21-24, will mark the 50th anniversary of the forum. The main theme of the event is the ecology and the whole range of related problems.
