Georgia sees decrease in COVID-19 cases

Georgia reported 362 coronavirus cases, 470 recoveries, and 12 deaths on Feb.25, Trend reports via Georgian media.

Some 22,501 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 13,718 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 8,783 were PCR tests.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 165 COVID-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 43 cases and the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region with 36 cases.

Georgia’s total case tally reached 269,800, among them 263,727 people recovered and 3,475 died.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 1.61 percent, while 2.25 percent over the past week.

There are 302 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 1,553 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 180 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at government-assigned treatment facilities.
