Georgia’s natural gas production from January through August 2021 amounted to 10 million cubic meters, which is an increase of 78.5 percent, compared to 5.6 million cubic meters over the same period of 2020, Trend reports via National Statistics Office (Geostat).
According to the statistics, natural gas imports slightly decreased by 3.3 percent to 1.5 billion cubic meters over first 8 months of 2021, compared to 1.55 billion cubic meters in the same period of 2021.
The domestic supply of natural gas in Georgia over the reporting period of 2021 decreased by 3.2 percent to 1.51 billion cubic meters, compared to 1.56 billion cubic meters over the same period of 2020.
Meanwhile, the share of electricity supply of all domestic supply from January through August 2021 amounted to 216.7 million cubic meters, which is a decrease of 31.6 percent, compared to 317.2 million cubic meters over the same period of 2020.
