Georgia’s foreign trade turnover (excluding non-declared trade) from January through October 2021 amounted to $11.3 billion, Trend reports via National Statistics Office (Geostat).
According to the statistical data, the current index increased by 23 percent, compared to $9.1 billion over the same period of 2020.
Georgian exports over the reporting period of 2021 amounted to $3.3 billion, which is an increase of 24.9 percent, compared to $2.7 billion in first 10 months of 2020.
Imports to Georgia from January through October 2021 amounted to $7.9 billion – increase of 22.3 percent, compared to $6.4 billion over the same period of 2020.
The trade deficit in Georgia in the reporting period of 2021 equaled $4.5 billion with 40.2 percent share in the total trade turnover.
The same index in first 10 months of 2020 amounted to $3.7 billion, while its share in the total trade turnover accounted for 40.7 percent.
Meanwhile, Georgia’s foreign trade turnover only in October 2021 amounted to $1.3 billion, which is an increase of 30 percent, compared to $1 billion over the same period of 2020.
