The interest rate on loans in October 2021 increased by 0.4 percentage points to 12.2 percent, compared to 11.8 percent over the same period of 2020, Trend reports via statistical data of the National Bank of Georgia (NBG).
The same index increased by 0.1 percentage points, compared to 12.1 percent in September 2021, the report said.
In particular, the interest rate on loans in national currency in October 2021 increased by 0.7 percentage points – from 14.9 percent in October 2020 to 15.6 percent.
However, the interest rate on loans in national currency in October 2021 has not changed, compared to September 202, the NBG said.
The interest rate on loans in national currency for legal entities accounted for 12.5 percent, while for individuals – for 17.8 percent, the report said.
Meanwhile, the interest rate on loans in foreign currency in October 2021 decreased by 0.7 percentage points to 6.1 percent, compared to 6.8 percent over the same period of 2020.
The current index also decreased by 0.2 percentage points, compared to 6.3 percent in September 2021, the report said.
The interest rate in loans on loans in foreign currency for legal entities accounted for 6.5 percent, while for individuals – for 5.3 percent.
