The volume of remittances inflow to Georgia from January through November 2021 amounted to $2.1 billion, compared to $1.9 billion over the same period of 2020, Trend reports via statistical data of the National Bank of Georgia (NBG).
The remittances in Georgia in November 2021 amounted to $207.3 million, which is $700,000 more than in October 2021 ($206.6 million), and $37.4 million more than over the same period of 2020 ($169.9 million).
TOP-10 countries with the largest amount of transferred money into Georgia in November 2021:
Russia – $34.3 million;
Italy – $32 million;
the US – $23.9 million;
Greece – $18.9 million;
Israel – $16.9 million;
Germany – $10.8 million;
Kazakhstan – $9.3 million;
Turkey – $8.2 million;
Ukraine – $7.4 million;
Azerbaijan – $7.1 million.
Meanwhile, money transfers from Georgia from January through November 2021 amounted to $283.4 million, which is an increase of 22.9 percent compared to $230.5 million over the same period of 2020.
