Georgia’s imports of petroleum and petroleum oils from Turkey triple

Georgia’s imports of petroleum and petroleum oils from Turkey in November 2021 increased by 225 percent, compared to the same period of 2020 ($1.6 million), to $5.2 million, Trend reports via the National Statistics Office (Geostat).

The value of the exports also increased by 44.4 percent in November 2021, compared to $3.6 million over the previous month of 2021.

Georgia’s imports of petroleum and petroleum oils from Turkey from January through November 2021 amounted to $24.8 million, which is an increase of 26.5 percent, compared to $19.6 million over the same period of 2020.

Turkey ranks 7 among TOP-10 petroleum and petroleum oils exporters to Georgia 2021over the reporting period of 2021.

Meanwhile, total Georgia’s imports of petroleum and petroleum oils from over the first 11 months of 2021 totaled $737.8 million, which is an increase of 63.6 percent, compared to $450.9 million over the same period of 2020.
