Georgia reveals main gasoline, diesel fuel exporters in 2021

Georgia’s imports of gasoline and diesel fuel from January through December 2021 amounted to 1.1 million tons, which is an increase of 3.9 percent, or 42,700 tons, compared to 2020, Trend reports via the Union of Petroleum Products Importers of Georgia.

Meanwhile, Georgia’s imports of gasoline in 2021 amounted to 587,179 tons – an increase of 46,800 tons or 8.7 percent, compared to 2020.

Georgia’s imports of diesel fuel in 2021 totaled 561,526 tons – a decrease of 4,100 tons or 0.7 percent, compared to 2020.

TOP-5 exporters of gasoline and diesel fuel to Georgia (2021):

Turkmenistan – 244,601 tons (21.3 percent of total share);

Russia – 221,181 tons (19.3 percent of total share);

Azerbaijan – 215 872 tons (18.8 percent of total share);

Romania – 204,638 tons (17.8 percent of total share);

Bulgaria – 167,708 tons (14.6 percent of total share).
