Georgia’s revenues from international visits double

Georgia’s revenues from international visits in 2021 amounted to $1.2 billion, which is an increase of 130 percent, compared to 2020, Trend reports via Georgian National Tourism Administration.

According to the report, the same figure recovered by 38 percent of the 2019 level.

Meanwhile, the number of international visitors to Georgia from January through December 2021 amounted to 1.8 million visitors, which is an increase of 7.7 percent, compared to 1.7 million over the same period of 2020.

The number of non-tourist visits to Georgia in 2021 totaled 160,029 people, which is a decrease of 31.5 percent, compared to 233,689 visitors in 2020, and a decrease of 90.2 percent, compared to 1.6 million people in 2019.

Tourist trips to Georgia in 2021 increased by 13.7 percent, compared to 1.5 million in 2020, however, decreased by 77.7 percent, compared to 2019, and amounted to 1.7 million visitors.
