Russia’s subsidiary VTB Bank Georgia transferred its corporate portfolio to Georgia’s Liberty Bank from March 3, 2022, Trend reports via the press service of the National Bank of Georgia.
Earlier, VTB Bank Georgia sold its retail portfolio of individual clients to Georgia’s BasisBank, although, continued to serve its legal clients.
From now on, the Liberty Bank branches will serve small and medium business depositors and borrowers of the VTB Bank Georgia.
The National Bank of Georgia (NBG) has instructed the representatives of the Georgian financial sector to fulfill their obligations under the sanctions.
“One of the main tasks of the NBG is to ensure the stability of the financial sector,” the NBG said.
