A special regime of traffic movement is imposed on roads across Georgia due to intensive snow and bad weather conditions, the Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure reports. Roads are cleaned regularly and technical salt is distributed, Trend reports citing 1tv.ge.
The traffic movement is prohibited for all kinds of vehicles at the Gudauri-Kobi road section of Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Larsi highway.
Due to difficult meteorological conditions traffic for all types of vehicles is banned at some sections of Akhalkalaki-Kartsakhi, Borjomi-Bakuriani-Akhalkalakim, Sagarejo-Desert-Davit Gareji Monastery, Tbilisi-Manglisi and Akhaltsikhe-Ninotsminda highways.
Movement of trucks is banned at some sections of Kutaisi-Tkibuli-Ambrolauri , Ponichala-Marneuli-Guguti, Sachkhere-Oni and Zugdidi-Jvari-Mestia-Lasdili roads due to low temperature and intensive snowfall.
Movement at Vaziani-Gombori-Telavi and Mestia-Ushguli roads is allowed only for 4WD vehicles or by use of anti-sliding chains.
