BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 23. Georgia’s cars re-export to Central Asia from January through February 2022 amounted to $11.8 million, which is an increase of 321.4 percent, compared to $2.8 million over the same period of 2021, Trend reports via National Statistics Office (Geostat).

In particular, Georgia’s cars re-export to Kazakhstan over the reporting period of 2022 showed a 10-times increase, compared to $732,880 over the same period of 2021, and totaled $7.4 million.

Georgia’s car re-export to Kyrgyzstan from January through February 2022 amounted to $2.6 million, which is an increase of 237.2 percent, compared to the same period of 2021 ($787,880)

Tajikistan’s import of cars from Georgia in the same period of 2022 increased by 22.6 percent year-on-year – from $1.06 million to $1.3 million.

Meanwhile, Georgia’s re-export of cars to Uzbekistan from January through February 2022 totaled $386,140, which is an increase of 104 percent, compared to $189,180 over the same period of 2021.

However, Georgia’s re-export of cars to Turkmenistan over the reporting period of 2022 amounted to $3,850, which is 12 times less year-on-year ($47,220).

Georgia’s total re-export of cars from January through February 2022 amounted to $72.5 million, which is an increase of 45.2 percent, compared to $49.9 million over the same period of 2021.
