BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 12. The Development Bank of Austria (OeEB) is happy to look into new projects’ development in Georgia, the OeEB told Trend.

“We would be happy to look at projects in our focus sectors - renewable energy, infrastructure, and financial inclusion,” the source said.

Although, the OeEB noted that, currently, there are no ongoing talks with the Georgian Government in this regard.

Meanwhile, the Bank signed $20 million in new commitments to financial institutions in Georgia back in 2020.

“In addition, around 6 percent of OeEB’s total capital committed in private equity is invested in Georgia via three funds: SEAF, DWM, and Caucasus Clean Energy. The Caucasus Clean Energy Fund is currently invested exclusively in Georgia,” the OeEB said.

As the source noted, currently, two of OeEB’s projects (ProCredit Bank and Bank of Georgia) contribute to financing renewable energy and energy efficiency measures in Georgia.
