BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 13. The number of international visitors traveling to Georgia through Tbilisi International Airport in March 2022 amounted to 57,327 people, which is an increase of 323.7 percent, compared to 13,530 visitors over the same period of 2021, Trend reports via Georgian National Tourism Administration.

The same figure also increased by 82.3 percent, compared to 31,440 people traveling to Georgia through Tbilisi Airport over the same period of 2020. The share of Tbilisi Airport by the visitor inflow to Georgia in March 2022 accounted for 30.4 percent.

The number of visitors traveling to Georgia through Kutaisi International Airport in March 2022 totaled 11,721 people, while no visitor inflow was recorded over the same month of 2021. However, the same figure increased by 40 percent, compared to March 2020, when 8,370 people visited Georgia through the airport. The share of Kutaisi Airport in the total inflow in the reporting period of 2022 accounted for 9.5 percent.

Batumi International Airport received 9,906 visitors in March 2022, which is 15 times more, compared to the same period of 2021 (651). The same figure increased by 215.4 percent, compared to 3,141 visitors coming to Georgia through Batumi Airport over the same period of 2020. Batumi Airport accounted for 5.3 percent of the total visitor inflow to Georgia over March 2022.

Meanwhile, the total number of international visitors to Georgia in March 2022 amounted to 211,484 visitors, which is an increase of 266.3 percent, compared to 57,728 over the same period of 2021.
