IMF shares its forecast for Georgia's GDP growth until 2027

BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 20. Georgia’s annual GDP in 2022 will grow by 3.2 percent, and amount to $20.89 billion, Trend reports via the International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) World Economic Outlook.

According to the report, Georgia’s economy will increase by 5.8 percent in 2023, while the nominal GDP will amount to $23.3 billion.

Meanwhile, Georgia’s GDP growth from 2024 through 2027 is predicted at 5.2 percent. In line with the IMF’s forecast, Georgia’s nominal GDP will amount to $25.58 billion in 2024, $28.06 billion - in 2025, $30.7 billion - in 2026, and $33.6 billion - in 2027.

Last October IMF assessed Georgia’s economic growth in 2021 - 2016 to be the highest in the region, and among the European countries.
