BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 11. The volume of aviation kerosene imports to Georgia decreased by 0.7 percent and amounted to 67,100 tons during the period from January to July 2023 compared to the same period in 2022, Trend reports.
Turkmenistan continued to be Georgia's top supplier of aviation kerosene for the stipulated seven-month period, supplying 29,600 tons, or 44.1 percent of the total import volume, according to data from the Union of Importers of Petroleum Products.
The following country on the list of suppliers is Azerbaijan, with 17,300 tons of supply, or 25.8% of all imports.
10.300 tons of aviation kerosene from Greece were also imported, accounting for 15.3% of the overall amount of imports.
A total of 6,700 tons were imported from Türkiye, which is 10 percent of the total import volume. A small part, 4.8 percent or 3,200 tons, falls on Malta.
During the period from January through July 2023, the volume of lubricants imports to Georgia increased by 9.7 percent and reached 13,230 tons.
The largest volume of lubricants was supplied from Türkiye – 2,790 tons, which is 21.1 percent of the total import volume, followed by Iran with 2,740 tons (20.7 percent of the total), Germany with 1,500 tons (11.3 percent), Azerbaijan with 820 tons (6.2 percent), as well as other countries.
