One of the key objectives of this strategy will be to apply cell phone data analysis to traffic flow modeling. Obtaining information from mobile devices, with the agreement of telecom operators, will provide a more reliable picture of traffic on the roads.
Additionally, Georgia plans to implement a mobile application that provides drivers with the ability to react instantly to traffic conditions. This application will allow for the selection of alternative routes, efficient travel management and congestion avoidance, which will ultimately help reduce time and cost.
