15:16 (GMT+4) Four Russian citizens were among those killed in the helicopter crash in Istanbul, Turkish media outlets report.

Istanbul Governor Vasip Sahin has said a civil helicopter crashed in the Buyukcekmece District of Istanbul on March 10 morning killing five people on board.

The helicopter, which belonged to the Eczacibasi Holding, was carrying CEO of the Eczacibasi Vitra Russia Salim Ozen and four Russian guests identified as Alexander Vanin, Igor Kochergin, Lyudmila Churova and Elena Badraga along with two Turkish pilots.

The passengers were on their way to Turkey’s Bilecik Province to carry out inspection at one of the Eczacibasi Holding plants.

13:41 (GMT+4) A fire helicopter crashed into a television tower near the TUYAP exhibition center in Istanbul, Turkey, due to low visibility, Turkey’s NTV channel reports citing eyewitnesses.

Five people – helicopter passengers and crew members – were killed in the accident, according to preliminary reports.

12:55 (GMT+4) A fire helicopter has crashed in the Buyukcekmece District in Istanbul, Turkey, the country’s media outlets report.

Rescue teams were sent to the accident site.
