Reports from Iraq say nine people have been injured in the latest attacks across the country while one civilian has lost his life in an accidental shooting, Press TV reported.
A soldier and two civilians were injured on Saturday when an improvised explosive device (IED) detonated in the capital of the northern province of Nineveh, the Aswat al-Iraq news agency reported.
The IED blast targeted an Iraqi army patrol on the main street in the al-Sokkar neighborhood in northern Mosul, according to a security source, who spoke on condition of anonymity.
In a separate incident, gunmen riding in a car opened fire on an army checkpoint close to a court in Baghdad's southwestern Bayaa district, injuring two soldiers.
Elsewhere in the capital, an explosive device, which was planted on the roadside in the city's northern district of Kadhimiya, targeted a police patrol, injuring three officers as well as one civilian.
Security forces immediately cordoned off the site of the attack to prevent more casualties from other bombs that could have been planted in the area.
And a civilian was killed on Saturday when his vehicle came under fire from Iraqi army forces, who mistakenly targeted him in a tunnel in western Mosul.
