Anti-government protesters said Monday they would try to arrange a "million-man march" in Egypt to mark one week of continuous demonstrations.
The announcement, made via Arab broadcaster al-Jazeera, said the plan was to hold the march on Tuesday. Protests, inspired by the uprising in Tunisia which saw the regime there change, began in Cairo on January 25, DPA reported.
Meanwhile, protesters were again moving to central parts of key cities to demand economic and democratic reforms and the ouster of President Hosny Mubarak, who has been reshuffling his cabinet in an effort to quell unrest.
