Libyan Justice Minister Mustafa Abdel-Jalil resigned Monday in protest at what he called an "excessive use of force against unarmed protesters.", dpa reported.
Abdel-Jalil confirmed that he was stepping down to Quryna, a Libyan newspaper with close ties to Libyan leader Moamer Gaddafi's son Saif al-Islam.
