The Libyan air force on Tuesday carried out more air raids against the northeastern city of Benghazi, an aviation source in Malta said, DPA reported.
The news of the bombings could not be independently verified.
According to Egypt's foreign minister, the runway of Benghazi airport has been totally destroyed and no planes are able to land there.
On Monday two pilots of the Libyan Air Force landed their jets in Malta, saying they were seeking protection in the island-nation after refusing orders to bomb anti-government demonstrators in Benghazi.
