Iraq to evacuate citizens from Yemen amid unrest
Iraq is preparing to evacuate its citizens from Yemen after weeks of anti-government protests across the country, Xinhua reported according to Al-Mashriq newspaper on Monday.
"The Iraqi government is preparing a special plane to evacuate Iraqis who are willing to return to Iraq from Yemen," Al-Mashriq daily quoted Ali al-Dabbagh, the government spokesman as saying.
The plane is expected to carry out shuttle flights between Baghdad and Sanaa after coordination with the Iraqi embassy in Sanaa to evacuate the citizens.
Yemen has been shaken for weeks by protests across the country demanding immediate end to Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh's long time rule.
