Qatari emir Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani said on Thursday the military interference by an international coalition was pushed due to the suffering of the people in Libya, accusing the Arab League for being reluctant to take an action instead of Western powers, Xinhua reported.
"Hopefully, the Arab League should assume its responsibilities in the light of ongoing changes," he said in statements carried out by Doha-based Al-Jazeera TV.
"The fate of Libya can be decided only by the Libyans," he said.
