Qatar says is determined to expand ties with Iran

Qatar's deputy foreign minister says his country is ready to expand ties with Iran in all areas especially in economy, Mehr news agency reported.

Muhammad Bin Abdullah Al Rahma made the remarks in a meeting with Iranian Ambassador to Doha on Saturday.

Al Raham thanked Tehran for encouraging Doha to join Iran, Oman, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan to sign a transportation agreement, which covers areas from Central Asia to the Persian Gulf.

The Qatari government is ready to sign the agreement and the move shows the constructive relations between Tehran and Doha, he stated.
