Syrian authorities imposed a curfew on the southern city of Inkhil, announcing it through loudspeakers in the town, broadcaster Al Arabiya broadcaster reported Friday.
Activists said online said some 3,000 armed people loyal to President Bashar al-Assad had deployed around the city's mosque, to prevent any protesters from gathering after weekly prayers, DPA reported.
