MP Mustafa Barghouti, Secretary General of the Palestinian National Initiative movement, called on the European Union foreign ministers to recognize a Palestinian state on the borders delineated in 1967 with a capital city of Jerusalem, Maannews reported.
Barghouti , who is attending an informal meeting of EU foreign ministers in Warsaw , urged the ministers to take a unified position on this matter.
He noted that this position is consistent with the world countries' position, who insist on the right of peoples to freedom, dignity, independence, justice and also reflects the EU's previous position, which supported the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with its capital Jerusalem, especially after the impossibility of negotiations with the Netanyahu government.
