The chief of the Arab League Nabil al-Arabi is due to make his delayed visit to Syria on Saturday, a senior official in the pan-Arab organization confirmed Wednesday, dpa reported.
"The date of the visit was set during a telephone contact between the Arab League secretary general and Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Moallem," al-Arabi's aide Ahmed bin Heli said.
He added that al-Arabi discussed Wednesday the visit with Syrian Ambassador to Cairo Ahmed Youssef.
