Mohammed Morsi, chairman of Egyptian Freedom and Justice Party said the parliamentary elections are one of the most important ways out of critical political situation in Egypt , the partie's official website reported.

He rejected all rumors about delaying the upcoming parliamentary elections in the country.

"Postponement of the elections would mean expansion of the transition period and chaos, which the country is facing," Morsi said.

Egypt will hold its parliamentary elections by November.

Large-scale anti-governmental protests held in Egypt in January 2011 put an end to 30-year ruling of 83-year old President Hosni Mubarak. The leadership passed to the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces.

The Freedom and Justice is a political party in Egypt. The party is nominally independent but has strong links to the Muslim Brotherhood of Egypt, the largest and best organized political group in Egypt. It has stated that it plans to run candidate in just under half of all constituencies in the upcoming parliamentary election.
