The Israeli embassy staff have left Cairo for Tel Aviv after a three-day visit, Masrawy cited dpa.

Earlier, they were forced to leave the country due to demonstrations.

The Israeli delegation observed the situation in the embassy building, which suffered the protestors' attack.

Fighting erupted on Sept.9 after a protest in Tahrir Square calling for quicker reforms following Hosni Mubarak's fall from power.

Demonstrators then moved to the Israeli embassy, where they used hammers and iron bars to tear down a security wall and stormed the offices.

Ambassador Yitzhak Levanon, staff and family members all flew home after the violence raged overnight.

Four Israeli diplomats returned to Egypt on Sept.19 to resume work, about 10 days after all staff left following an attack on the embassy in Cairo.
