The Syrian opposition hailed Thursday the reported death of Libyan leader Moamer Gaddafi in his hometown Sirte dpa reported
"Gaddafi is gone gone, and your turn (Syrian President) Bashar (al-Assad) is coming," declared a posting on the Syrian Revolution 2011 Facebook page.
It also posted a picture showing Gaddafi, Egyptian former president Hosni Mubarak and deposed Tunisian president Zine el-Abidine Ben Ali crossed out in red - leaving uncrossed Yemeni President Ali Abdallah Saleh and Syria's President Bashar al-Assad.
"This is the end of the tyrants" a post on the Facebook page stated, which has been the mouthpiece of the Syrian opposition since the uprising against al-Assad erupted in mid-March.
