Libya's National Transitional Council said late Monday that ousted Libyan leader Moamer Gaddafi will be buried Tuesday, Dubia-based broadcaster Al Arabiya reported.
The broadcaster said the council decided to bury Gaddafi and his son Moutassem in a "secret place in the desert", dpa reported.
The announcement came hours after national council chief Mustafa Abdul Jalil said that the transitional leadership would investigate Gaddafi's death, after conflicting reports on how the deposed leader died.
Several foreign governments and non-governmental human rights groups posed questions about the circumstances that led to the badly wounded Gaddafi's death following his capture on Thursday.
There have been conflicting reports, with some suggesting he died in a crossfire, and others alleging he was executed by anti-Gaddafi fighters.
