A team from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has carried out inspections in hospitals in the Syrian dissident city of Homs following reports that security forces had tortured anti-government protesters in medical facilities, state television said on Thursday dpa reported
The delegation toured both private and public hospitals in Homs, the broadcaster added.
Abdul-Rahman al-Attar, the chairman of the Syrian Red Crescent organization, was quoted by the television as saying that "the ICRC members were satisfied with what they saw."
