Turkey and the Arab countries do not support the Syrian armed opposition, one of the Syrian opposition members, who requested to remain anonymous, told Trend.

He added that the 'Free Syrian army' buys all its weapons from government troops.
"The main source of weapons for us is the Syrian army which sells it to us," the opposition member said.

At present there is an unsteady truce between the armed wing of the opposition the 'Free Syrian army' and the governmental troops within the Joint Special Envoy of the United Nations and the League of Arab States Kofi Annan's plan.

Anti-government protests have persisted in Syria since March 2011. Daily reports are being received about the deaths of people, both civilian and the security forces.

According to UN statistics, the total number of victims in the country exceeds 10,000. Syrian officials have said that clashes with the armed opposition have killed more than 2000 servicemen and law enforcement officials of Syria against which there are well armed militants.
