Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi has decided to form a fact-finding committee tasked with collecting information and evidence over killings and injuries of the protesters during last year's demonstration, state media reported Friday, dpa reported.

Morsi, who was sworn in on Saturday, decided Thursday to invite six representatives from families of those killed or injured to work in the committee as observers, official news agency MENA reported.

The committee will visit the places of the incidents all over Egypt to dig out the truth. It will also hold talks with armed forces and eyewitnesses who attended these incidents.

More than one year after the demonstration which erupted in January 2011, Egypt wrapped up its historical presidential election last month and had the Muslim Brotherhood's Morsi elected as the new leader.
