Arab World Materials 9 July 2012 07:43 (UTC +04:00)

The United Nations Organization is ready to work with the new Libyan leadership in a bid to achieve justice and reconciliation in the conflict-stricken North African nation, The Voice of Russia reported.

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon said this on Sunday in the wake of the July 7 parliamentary elections in Libya - the first since the ouster of the country's longtime ruler Muammar Gaddafi.

Nearly 63 percent of Libyans cast their ballots in Saturday's vote to the General National Congress, which is to form the country's new Cabinet, run the nation in the interim period and also to pass a new election law.
