The UN General Assembly voted overwhelmingly Friday in favour of a resolution strongly condemning the continued violence in Syria and calling for a political transition, DPA reported.
Countries voting against the resolution included Russia, Syria, Cuba and Venezuela. The vote was passed 133-12.
