Nine Palestinian civilians were killed in an Israeli airstrike on a four-storey house in northern Gaza City, health officials said Sunday, dpa reported.
Two or three missiles fired by F-16 warplanes reduced the house in the Sheikh Radwan neighbourhood to rubble, witnesses said.
Ashraf al-Qedra, spokesman of the Hamas-run Health Ministry in Gaza, said the Palestinian death toll has now risen to more than 60 - about half of them civilians. More than 500 were wounded.
