Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi on Thursday condemned Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip, state television reported.
"Israel has to realize that we do not accept aggression, which negatively affects security and stability in the region," Morsi was quoted as having told a meeting of cabinet ministers, dpa reported.
Egypt has recalled its ambassador to Israel over the violence.
