We Will Try to Raise Blockade of Gaza: Mahmud Abbas

Israil, Jerusalim / corr. Trend R. Abdullayev/ Mahmud Abbas, the chairman of the Palestine Administration, promised Gaza residents to continue his efforts in raising the blockade of Gaza sector, ISRA reports quoting website Walla. Mahmud Abbas made such a statement in a joint press conference with Maxim Ferhagen, the minister of foreign affairs of Netherlands, held in Ramallah.

"Unfortunately, some people do not want the Palestinians to lead their normal lives," Abbas said. The observers say that it is more than an obvious hint to HAMAS. According to Abu-Mazen, he is not going to end talks with Israel.

The head of the Autonomy stated that the Palestine Administration is ready to take the responsibility of check-points. So, Mahmud Abbas reacted to the proposals of the international quartet of mediators regarding the regulation of the Middle East conflict, which envisages that Israel's has to transfer a part of the authorities to PA to exercise the control over the check points.

Commenting on the supply of the diesel fuel and gas to Gaza, Mahmud Abbas said, "it is not satisfactory".
