A fresh Israeli air strike on eastern Gaza City killed two Palestinian militants, medical officials said, bringing to 25 the number of Palestinians, mainly militants, killed since the latest outbreak of violence between the sides erupted on Friday, DPA reported.

A third Palestinian was wounded.

Doctors at Shifa hospital said that two were killed in an Israeli airstrike on al-Nazaz Street in Sheja'eya neighborhood in eastern Gaza City.

They were members of the Iranian-backed Islamic Jihad Organization.

Earlier Monday, Israeli air strikes killed five Palestinians, among them a teenager, a 65-year-old man and his 30-year-old daughter.

At the same time, Palestinian militants launched over 40 rockets at southern Israeli cities. Since Friday they have fired over 200, around a quarter of which have been intercepted by Israel's Iran Dome anti-missile system.
